The Story of Ms. G

The Story of Ms. G
Learn more about Ms. G's journey to Massachusetts State Groundhog. A resident of Mass Audubon's Drumlin Farm in Lincoln, Ms. G has been posting a forecast for Groundhog Day since 2008. Ms. G is one of New England's true hibernators and is smart about local weather. For that reason, starting in 2012, a group of Hunnewell Elementary School students, led by Meteorologist Mish Michaels and her daughter, ran a campaign to elect Ms. G to the post of State Groundhog. See how students worked hard with Wellesley Representative Alice Peisch to pass the Ms. G Bill, making her the first female state groundhog in the country! View >
